I should have checked earlier written on June 19, 2008

It turns out that the artist, Sam Avani, who did my first tattoo died in 2005 of brain cancer. That sucks. He did a really good job; it turned out excellently. And, for the two hours or so that I knew him, he seemed like a really quality guy. After I read that he had died, I did find his card that happened to still be in my dresser, good job me.

It is interesting. We created some art that has created a duality of opinions. There are some people who have hated it and some people who have loved it. He liked it so much that he asked me if he could keep the design. And now, I cannot tell him about what our work has done.
