I found one day in school a boy of medium size ill-treating a smaller boy. I expostulated, but he replied: 'The bigs hit me, so I hit the babies; that's fair'. In these words he epitomized the history of the human race.
Bertrand Russell, Education and the Social Order

so you want to learn about dayv, huh?

For now, I will simply link to my Curriculum Vitae (CV) as much of this information is beyond what should be called out of date. One of these days, I will get around to updating it, but medical school is keeping me much too busy right now.

I recently graduated from aurora university with a Bachelors in Science, specifically Health Science. For those of you unaware, that means I am pre-med, looking to become a doctor :).

Now, on to my job. I am an assistant manager, 1st assistant (the position was eliminated, and I am now only an assistant manager) to be exact, at famous footwear. A beautiful place to work, I'm sure. And yes, I have heard the one about Al Bundy from Married with Children living in Chicago and working at a shoe store, so no need to repeat it.(This whole paragraph needs to be replaced. I quit Famous Footwear-woo hoo! And am now an EMT-B.) That needs to be replaced now.

I am certified as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) in Illinois. An EMT-B is like a paramedic, which more people are familiar with, but EMT-Bs only have one semester of training whereas EMT-Ps (paramedics) ususally have two or three semesters. Unfortunately, I have more health education than paramedics, due to my BS, but I am not certified to do what they are because I was unable to get into a paramedic program for some unknown reason. In fact, I have more medical education than many nurses, at my school they were not required to take many of the science classes that I was such as Biochem, genetics and chemistry and biology for science majors, and yet they continue to treat me as if I were simply some unskilled worker. It sucks, to say the least. That is all old and now history.

I am a soon-to-be medical student, at either Saint George's University in Grenada or Trinity School of Medicine, beginning in the fall of 2011. I graduated from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL with a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Disaster Management and from Aurora University in Aurora, IL with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a minor in Chemistry.

I was previously in the Navy, as a nuclear propulsion operator machinists mate. I will probably write something about it eventually, I am just so busy usually. Information can easily be found on google. They told us that everything that we learned was NOFORN, meaning we could not release it to foreign nationals without permission from the Department of the Navy, or confidential, meaning we could not release it to anybody, but u can find most of everything they taught us on google. One can really learn alot screwing around with a search engine these days.

I am an ardent photographer, yet again have little time to take pictures. My pictures can be accessed via flickr, and I will hopefully add to them soon, just need to find the time. I would like to add a blog, as well, I just need to write it and ensure that I am going to regularly post in it. I am well aware that there are many open source blogs out there, but i want to code it from scratch. I actually did put in a blog awhile ago. Access my blog here.
